We are looking for a CAD Engineer to join our rapidly developing manufacturing facility in Redditch.
Recent investment in new machinery and market leading products has created the need to appoint an experienced CAD Manufacturing Engineer. New machinery includes Nukon sheet laser, Nukon tube laser and Unison tube benders with the hope of further investment of Salvagnini panel bender.

Responsible for: No direct Reports
Effective: October 2022
Overall Purpose: As the CAD Engineer you will work in conjunction with the Manufacturing lead and will be responsible for the writing, implementation, monitoring, maintaining and improvement methods of manufacturing to achieve a cost effective, efficient production process. You will produce drawings to a high standard and be able to interpret documentation and instructions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Create 3D model production drawings from 2D hand drawings and cutting lists using Solidworks.
Create component drawings from 3D models for sheet and tube
Program sheet laser and tube laser for production using Lantek software
Program tube benders using Opt2Sim simulation software from Unison
Product development and JIG designing using Solidworks
Preparing, amending and maintaining drawings
Key Skills & Experience
Significant previous experience of engineering in a manufacturing environment
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing systems, assembly and test
Fully converse in CAD package Solidworks
Sheet metal and fabrication experience
Ability to read and produce technical drawings
Proven ability with problem solving tools and techniques

HNC/City & Guilds/ Degree or time served as an apprentice in an engineering related subject
