Redhill Steps Up its Investment Programme

Redhill Manufacturing has restructured Unit 2 at their Redditch-based manufacturing plant, in line with demand. The new area is dedicated solely to the manufacture of Warehouse Steps.

Following the installation of a new mezzanine floor in Unit 2, Redhill Manufacturing has now restructured the unit to provide a fully operational assembly plant for the production of Warehouse Steps.

The restructured space, along with the new mezzanine floor, creates a new prep section for steps, enabling Redhill to move its wet spray plant into Unit 2 and provide a stand-alone large step manufacturing facility. This doubles the length of the track oven and provides further room in the powder coating area, ensuring immediate benefits in terms of speed, flexibility and output.

As well as providing additional space for the production of Warehouse Steps, the restructuring of Unit 2 also releases more floor space to accommodate uncoated items and store materials. Work commenced at the weekend, so that daily work schedules were not disrupted.

The new layout of Unit 2, along with the installation of a new mezzanine floor forms part of Redhill Manufacturing’s ongoing investment programme to increase overall manufacturing capability and product range. This is in direct response to increased orders from both the UK and overseas, and ensures that Redhill Manufacturing continues to lead the market in terms of innovation, quality, reliability and manufacturing excellence.
