Redhill Manufacturing continues to grow apace thanks to a continually expanding order book and the demand for more and larger volumes of our products, both in the UK and globally. To ensure we meet demand, we are continually expanding our workspace, providing us with bigger and better facilities.
The latest phase in our expansion programme has seen us taking over an additional unit, known as Unit One, which adjoins our current set-up, giving us six units in one run and seamlessly extending the current flow. This gives us manufacturing and warehousing facilities now in excess of 60,000 square ft.
The new unit is some 6,000 square feet, representing a sizeable space and enabling us to install a 4,500 square foot mezzanine floor. The extra space provided by the mezzanine gives us vital extra warehousing capacity for finished stock, enabling us to store additional products for immediate despatch.
In addition, the new unit provides us with increased manufacturing space for large warehouse steps, including our range of Kitemarked British Standard safety Steps, the first steps to achieve British Standard accreditation and one of our bestselling products.
We are also installing two additional high bay welding stations, further increasing our manufacturing capability and capacity. The new welding stations will be equipped with Mig welding machines, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest degree of precision accuracy and enabling to significantly step up production.
