At Redhill, each member of our team plays a vital role in our success. We’re thrilled to introduce Sarah Cooper, our dedicated Bookkeeper and Accounts Assistant, who brings a wealth of experience and a positive, can-do attitude to her role!
What are your role and responsibilities at Redhill?
As Bookkeeper, I manage the Accounts department and everything that comes with it, from the day-to-day tasks to the more detailed functions. My goal is to ensure the department runs smoothly and efficiently, safeguarding the business’s overall financial health.
What’s your main motivation at work?
The people I work with. Everyone has tough days, but having colleagues who lift your spirits and improve your day is the best form of motivation. I’m proud to be part of such a supportive team, and I always strive to do the same for them.
What led you to this career?
After COVID, I wanted to find stability in a career that was both challenging and rewarding. I had always been interested in finance and accounts but hadn’t found the courage to pursue it until recently. I’m so glad I took the plunge—I now feel like I’ve found what I’m meant to do.
What excites you most about your new role?
I’m excited to make my mark at Redhill and truly take ownership of the accounts department. Andy and Sam have given me the freedom to bring new ideas and suggestions to the table, and I’m looking forward to seeing how my contributions can help improve the business
What’s your greatest strength in this position?
My greatest strength is the variety of knowledge I bring to the role. I’ve worked in many industries, and that experience fuels my determination to always do the best for my department and Redhill. My diverse background allows me to think outside the box and adapt to any challenge.
What drew you to Redhill?
After witnessing the devastating fire that affected Redhill, I was inspired by how the company rebuilt and came back stronger than ever. It’s an incredible message that no matter the obstacles you face, you can always rise again, even better than before. That resilience drew me to be a part of this journey.
What are your future career goals?
I’m currently studying for my CIMA qualification, and my goal is to become an FD and eventually CFO. In the meantime, I’m dedicated to managing the accounts department, creating streamlined processes, and supporting Redhill’s positive and accelerated growth trajectory.
Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?
I’m a family person through and through! I love helping my fiancé build project cars, playing football mom six times a week for my son, chasing after my two stepchildren, and exploring National Trust parks with my energetic Doberman, Lulu. Life is busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Andy Colley said, “Sarah’s dedication and drive make her a fantastic asset to the Redhill team, and we’re excited to see how she’ll continue to shape our future.”
Welcome to the team, Sarah
