Redhill’s new premises are fitted with some of the latest equipment available on the market, including a new Nukon ECO 315 4kw sheet fibre laser, which arrived in December. We are delighted to announce our new laser is now fully up and running in the capable hands of our expert team, who have now completed their training, taking our manufacturing capability to a whole new level.
Nukon’s products have a reputation for utilising industry-leading laser cutting technology and earlier last year, Redhill’s directors Andy and Sam Colley visited Nukon’s facilities in Istanbul to view our new investment.
Ideal for producing intricate cuts and varied shapes, the new laser is perfect for Redhill’s product range and will cut all our flat sheet requirements, ranging from treads on all our steps to our tall Hazardous Cabinets, including platforms for trollies, drawers and shelves.
Anything flat will now be designed by our new in-house CAD designer, Steve Durber, and sent to the Nukon sheet laser. Once cut, items will be shaped on one of our three new press brakes and delivered to the production trolley, where all parts will be welded and assembled to produce the finished product.
Massively speeding up production, the new Nukon sheet laser enables us to produce everything in house, without relying on outsourcing, delivering new levels of efficiency and significantly reducing lead times. We are now looking forward to taking delivery of a new Nukon fibre tube laser cutting machine and Unison tube benders, which will transform our manufacturing capability even further.
As you can see, 2023 marks a significant milestone in Redhill’s journey, with new, purpose-built premises and state-of-the-art equipment enabling us to set a new course, delivering our extensive ‘Well Built in Britain’ range to an even wider market. We are very excited about the future and the new opportunities ahead as we move into our new phase of expansion and development.
