Redhill is poised to move to brand new premises, with the move carefully planned over the coming weeks.
We’d like to thank all parties – customers, distributors, key partners and stakeholders – for your patience and understanding over the last six months, and also our managers, factory operatives, and office staff for your resilience, positivity and ‘can do’ approach, which has enabled us to make the move in record time.
Having outgrown our temporary facility, which provided a much needed stop gap over recent months, we very much look forward to becoming fully operational in our new, large 52,000 sq ft premises, with mezzanine.
Providing greater capacity for incoming materials and ample storage space for products leaving the factory, our impressive new facility will enable us to increase output, clear any backlog and, moving forward, significantly reduce lead times – to the benefit of our customers and distributors.
Week commencing 14th November sees us installing our new welding bays and, by 28th November, all sheet metal/cabinets will be produced in the new facility. Preparation and welding of large steps in Unit 13 will take place on Monday 21st November, and at the end of the month, a new mezzanine will be installed in Unit 15.
We aim to move all remaining manufacturing and finishes processes by Monday 19th December and, as soon as the move has taken place, will commence a 4-day night shift. In the same time frame, we’ll move our offices into the new unit, enabling us to hit the ground running in the New Year and, looking forward, we’re planning to install a new powder coating plant in May 2023.
Latest, precision equipment
In terms of spec, our new facility will be kitted out with the latest, state-of-the art equipment, including:
• Wet spray booth in operation from Wednesday 9th November
• New welding machines, band saw, notcher, fly press and chop saw installed in Unit 13 third week of November, to facilitate large step manufacture
• Tube bender borrowed from Unison Ltd while 2 x new tube benders are manufactured, due April 2023.
• New Coastone (fully electric) press brake installed 25th November in Unit 15, along with 2nd spot welding table, spot welder and welding machine to facilitate cabinet manufacture by Monday 28th November.

• New bandsaw, drills and swaging machines installed in second week of December

As you can see, it’s an impressive list of equipment and will enable us to forge ahead in terms of manufacture, capability and capacity. Naturally, we’re fully committed to delivering our extensive ‘Well Built in Britain’ product range, which continues to offer great value and quality.
As you can imagine, we can’t wait for our new premises to be fully operational. The move marks a significant milestone in Redhill’s history and we are fully focused on moving forward and achieving great things.
Again, we would like to thank all stakeholders for your patience, the move will increase productivity across all arms of the business.
