After many successful years as Managing Director, Ken Colley has taken the decision to stand down from this position and reduce his working days, which will give him the freedom to enjoy more time with his grandchildren.
Following his extensive strategic contributions to the future of Redhill, Ken is pleased to announce that Andy Colley will be taking on the role of Managing Director from 1st July 2019.
We are delighted to confirm that Ken will remain with Redhill, spending 2-3 days a week on significant internal projects to increase efficiencies; with his wealth of product expertise and knowledge, Ken is perfectly positioned to lead these key projects.
Ken has shared that this restructuring is a natural progression, with Andy being the main driving force behind many of Redhill’s industry-leading achievements, including our BSI Kitemarked range of Mobile Safety Steps, which remain the only product of their kind available on the UK market to have achieved this globally recognised safety standard.
During his time as Operations Director, Andy led a number of strategic decisions to increase efficiencies, and he will continue to invest in technology such as robotics to ensure we can continue to meet our distributors’ requirements and supply access, handling and storage products at the forefront of safety, quality and durability.
Looking to the future, Andy will continue to introduce efficiency-enabling investments and we will be increasing production of key products, such as our cabinets, to ensure our stock can continue to match increases in demand.
Andy will also be continuing to engage with and champion young talent from across the Midlands, and he has recently visited a number of colleges to promote the benefits of a career within the engineering industry. We have also welcomed a number of young people for a site visit to our premises in Redditch, which we hope will inspire the next generation of Midlands-made craftsmanship.
On behalf of our entire team, we would like to extend a huge thank you to Ken for his vital role in helping to create a business we are all proud to be a part of, as well as once again congratulating our new Managing Director, Andy Colley.
